Christopher Lambert (“Highlander” movies) has reportedly opened talks to appear in
Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance, the comic book sequel assembling at Sony. On the
“Highlander” Facebook page the following was announced.
If cast, Lambert will star alongside
Nicolas Cage, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Idris Elba and
Johnny Whitworth.
Mark Neveldine and
Brian Taylor (Crank, Gamer) are directing.
The film centers on Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Cage), hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the devil (Ciaran Hinds), who wants to take over his mortal son's body on the kid's birthday.
Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance hits 2D and 3D screens on February 17th, 2012.
