Following the teaser poster back in September, the new one-sheet has popped up online for
Michael Bay's musclehead crime flick
Pain & Gain.
Directed from a script co-written by
Christopher Markus and
Stephen McFeely (Chronicles of Narnia, Captain America) plus
Scott Rosenberg and based on a 1999
Miami New Times article, the cast features
Dwayne Johnson and
Mark Wahlberg as a pair of Florida bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping plot involving a wealthy businessman that goes terribly wrong.
The cast also includes
Ed Harris, Tony Shalhoub, Anthony Mackie, Rob Corddry, Tony Plana, Ken Jeong, Bar Paly as well as
Aussie thesp and comedian Rebel Wilson.
Paramount will be releasing Pain & Gain on April 26th, 2013 and we have yet to see a preview trailer.
I'd be interested in seeing if this will fare without Bay's bunch of crazy explosions and special effects throughout the movie.
