Universal Pictures revealed a new character poster for
Les Miserables featuring
Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, courtesy of
Lesmiserablesfilm.com as well as a banner via
The Daily Blam.
The tagline, ‘Freedom Is Mine', is from the first song Valjean sings after being released from prison where spent nineteen years for stealing a loaf of bread and numerous attempted escapes.
As for Le Mis character posters, another one of Marius and Cosette (
Eddie Redmayne and
Amanda Seyfried) is posted on
Tumblr with a tagline from their duet, ‘A Heart Full of Love'.
Well, we've already seen a trailer and plenty of footage, and one official teaser poster (which re-created Emile Bayard's iconic image of little Cosette) for
Tom Hooper‘s spectacular cinematic interpretation of Victor Hugo's epic tale.
Alain Boublil adapted his own work with French composer
Claude-Michel Schonberg, who also wrote the stage musical, with
Herbert Kretzmer and
William Nicholson as the lyricists for the English-language musical adaptation.

The film also stars
Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and
Sacha Baron Cohen and will hit theaters worldwide on December 25th, Christmas Day.
A new trailer is rumored to be on the horizon next week.
