More movies – more fun. That's probably the best way to describe the latest update from
Cannes.
We've just learned that some pretty cool films have been added to the festival's list(s), and as you already see from our title – we're happy to announce that
Jim Jarmusch's vampire romance
Only Lovers Left Alive (yes, the one with
Tilda Swinton in the leading role) has been added to the
Cannes Film Festival's
Competition line-up!
More about that and the official list(s) in the rest of this report…
So, you already had a chance to check out our previous report where we shared the
official competition lineup for the 66th Cannes Film Festival, but as we mentioned at the beginning of this report – there's enough room for Jarmusch's upcoming vampire romance.
In case you're not so familiar with Only Lovers Left Alive title, let us just inform you that the whole thing revolves around an underground musician who reunites with his lover after he becomes tired with the direction of human society. What definitely sounds great is that the weird couple is played by Tilda Swinton and
Tom Hiddleston, and that
Mia Wasikowska is also on board.
Here's the rest of the (previous announced) line-up:
Out of Competition
“Le Dernier Des Injustes,” Claude Lanzmann
Un Certain Regard
“My Sweet Pepperland,” Hiner Saleem
“Tore Tanzt,” Katrin Gebbe
“Wakolda,” Lucia Puenzo.
Stay tuned for more updates!
