Jimmy P.: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian – long title, but make sure you remember it! This drama comes from French director
Arnaud Desplechin, it stars
Benicio Del Toro and
Mathieu Amalric and in case you already forgot – it is also one of the films that will compete for the top prize of the upcoming
Cannes Film Festival.
Today, we're here to share some images from the whole thing, make sure you check them out in the rest of this report…

Formerly titled “Jimmy Picard”, Desplechin's movie is actually an adaptation of Georges Devereux' text “Psychothérapie d'un Indien des Plaines: Réalité et rêve”. The drama revolves around Blackfoot veteran's return from World War II and his resulting struggle with mental illness.
In other words, the movie tells the true story of a friendship between a Native American soldier identified under the alias Jimmy Picard – and a French pyshoanalyst. It follows Picard as he returns from World War II suffering from a variety of symptoms for which no physical cause can be found. After being referred to the famous Winter Hospital in Kansas, he strikes up a friendship with Devereux through his counseling sessions.

Benicio Del Toro plays the title role – Jimmy Picard, Mathieu Amalric plays his psychoanalyst Georges Devereux and the rest of the cast also includes
Elya Baskin, Gina McKee, Misty Upham and
Linda Boston.
We wish them all good luck at this year's Cannes Film Festival which is scheduled to take place from 15 to 26 May 2013.
