2012 Cannes Film Festival which will run from May 16 – 25th has been announced.
Wes Anderson's
Moonrise Kingdom will open the festival and
Therese Desqueyroux, the last film from director Claude Miller, starring Audrey Tautou, will close it.

Cosmopolis confirmed earlier this morning, Walter Salles'
On The Road starring Garett Hedlund, Sam Riley, Kristen Stewart and Jacques Audiard's latest drama,
Rust & Bone starring Marion Cotillard, Michael Haneke's
Amour and Abbas Kiarostami's
Like Someone In Love will premiere in Cannes. They all will compete for Palme D'Or.
John Hillcoat's
Lawless starring Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain and many others, Lee Daniels'
The Paperboy with Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron and Andrew Dominik's
Killing Them Softly, previously known as
Cogan's Trade, starring Brad Pitt are in the same Cannes'
In Competition category.
