Here are two clips for
Jeff Nichols‘ upcoming
Mud project, described as the deep South drama with
Matthew McConaughey and
Reese Witherspoon in the leading roles.
Nichols' movie, shown at
Cannes Film Festival In Competition, received critical acclaim.
Tonight the Cannes Jury, led by Italian actor-director
Nanni Moretti, will announce its awards, culminating in the Festival's top prize, the Palme d'Or, so don't be surprise if you see it among the winners.
But, if you want my opinion, even though I haven't seen the movie, I'm not so interested in this project. Not fascinated with these clips either, and somehow I hate this McConaughey-Witherspoon combination on the big screen. Don't know why – just my feeling…

Mud is a coming-of-age drama which centers around two fourteen-year-old boys who encounter a mysterious fugitive hiding out on an island in the Mississippi. Intrigued by this man, they enter into a pact to help him evade capture and reconnect with the love of his life. Though it is hard for the boys to discern truth from fiction when it comes to Mud, it isn't long until their small Arkansas town is besieged by a beautiful girl with a line of hunters in tow.
Anyway, you're free to share your own opinion with us, so go ahead!
