I feel there's still room for a well-crafted B movie among CG-laden spectacles, so to speak
Brendan Fraser will star in and produce writer/director
Damian Lee‘s
Split Decision, a B-movie thriller as a father who must protect his two kids from two deadly murderers.
The two murderous brothers who committed the crime will be portrayed by Prison Break's
Dominic Purcell and American History X star
Ethan Suplee; the two children who witness a brutal killing during a camping trip will be played by
Holly Deveaux (Victoria Day) and
Christian Martin.
Fraser's father-figure of course sets out to rescue them;
Amy Price-Francis (The Cleaner) appears as the children's mother and family friend on a wilderness camping trip will be played by
Daniel Kash.
The one that trouble me is Lee (King of Sorrow) whose resume includes cheaply made direct-to-DVD action films that you might find in the 5 dollar bins at Wal-Mart.
However, Split Decision could be a refreshing change of pace for Fraser who recently finished filming indie comedy A Case of You alongside Sienna Miller.
Split Decision will start shooting soon in Ontario, Canada.
