Black Nativity, or if you prefer – an upcoming
holliday musical drama, doesn't look bad at all. And that's exactly what you're going to see if you check out the first teaser trailer for the whole thing. As you probably remember, the movie is a contemporary adaptation of
Langston Hughes‘ celebrated play of the same name, but – with some seriously good cast on board. Whitaker, Bassett and Hudson, what else can you wish for? Head inside to take a look…
Written and directed by
Kasi Lemmons, the movie stars
Jennifer Hudson as a single mother named Naima who sends her teen son Langston (played by
Jacob Latimore) to spend the Christmas holiday with his estranged relatives in New York City.

Langston embarks on a surprising and inspirational journey and along with new friends, and a little divine intervention, he discovers the true meaning of faith, healing, and family.
Beside the above mentioned names, the rest of
Black Nativity cast includes
Tyrese Gibson,
Nas,
Mary J. Blige and
Luke James and the movie is set to open on November 27th, 2013.
