We already had a little chat about
Scott Derrickson‘s upcoming paranormal thriller Beware The Night,
remember? Today we're here to report that
Olivia Munn,
Edgar Ramirez and (previously rumored)
Eric Bana are officially on board for the project which is based on
Ralph Sarchie and
Lisa Collier Cool's book of the same name.

At this moment we know that Derrickson will direct the picture from a screenplay he and
Paul Harris Boardman adapted and that the movie will revolve around:
…a New York cop who meets a renegade priest when he is pulled into a case which the priest convinces him, against the officer's religious beliefs, is demonic related. Together they work to solve the case and combat the paranormal forces working against them.
As for the above mentioned cast,
Eric Bana is set to play an Irish Catholic cop,
Olivia Munn will star as his wife, while
Edgar Ramirez will play the priest.
Beware the Night again teams Derrickson and Boardman with
Screen Gems where their first film, 2005's hit
The Exorcism of Emily Rose, was made and distributed.
Production of the project is slated to begin in the Bronx on May 20th, which means that we'll soon have more updates to share.
Make sure you stay tuned!
