Anti-romantic comedy? Count me in!
A Many Splintered Thing is an upcoming indie which comes from director
Justin Reardon, but – for an indie project – it already has some seriously good cast on board. I mean,
Chris Evans and
Michelle Monaghan make the leading duo, while
Anthony Mackie,
Aubrey Plaza,
Giovanni Ribisi and
Philip Baker Hall are all in talks to join them! That's not bad at all!
Unfortunately, at this moment we have nothing to share about the (possible) new characters, but we do know that the movie will center on a man disillusioned by love (Evans) who meets an engaged woman (Monaghan).
Guess that's the
anti-romantic part of the story?
Excited by the challenge and egged on by his friends, he feigns a platonic relationship in order to keep seeing her as he tries to win her heart.
Anyway, let us also mention that Reardon is directing from a Black List script written by Chris Shafer and Paul Vicknair, and production on
A Many Splintered Thing should start at the end of this month.
