If you have
Electro as the central villain it doesn't end well. A pic
tweeted by director
Marc Webb shows just what happens when Electro decides he doesn't like you and by that, we mean oxygen combusting at extremely high temperatures, to form fire.
A sneak peek at the action with his latest
Amazing Spider-Man 2 set photo came with the message:
Day 45. This is what happens when you try to give Electro a ticket.
Electro played by
Jamie Foxx is a villain in the Marvel universe who can throw out bolts of electricity at will ever since he was struck by lightning, but we still don't really know how he'll be fitting into the story of the Spider-Man sequel. No one's actually saying just what brings Spidey and Electro together.
As a matter of fact, we're still waiting to find out what, exactly, the antagonist Electro who creates such destruction and collateral damage on the streets of New York, looks like.
We know
Paul Giamatti has been announced to be playing another super-villain, mutated Russian mobster the Rhino, but that's all for now .
Along with Foxx, Giamatti and
Andrew Garfield returning as Peter Parker /Spider-Man, the
Amazing Spider-Man sequel will also feature
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy,
Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn,
Shaiene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson,
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben, and
Sally Field as Aunt May.
The film opens in theaters on May 2nd, 2014.
