Take A Better Look At THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 (Plus ELECTRO Promo Video!)

In case this was not good enough, we're here to give you even better look at Marc Webb‘s upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2! Head inside to check out these brand new high-res images with Peter Parker, Rhino, Gwen Stacy, Harry Osborn and… the main villain – Electro! There is something terrifying and God-like about that guy… As usual – you will have to click on all these pics to enlarge, and we will once again remind you that Webb's sequel to the 2012 blockbuster is set to hit theaters on May 2nd, 2014, and has an awesome cast on board which includes Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field, Martin Sheen and Chris Cooper. The movie once again revolves around Peter Parker, who continues to adjust to his crime fighting life as Spider-Man (and relationship with Gwen), while dealing with new enemies, the return of Harry Osborn, and discovering more about his past. Still, I guess we're all interested in that enemies-part of the story, right? Well, just in case you want a little spoiler, check out what director Webb had to say about Electro and Rhino in an interview with SyperHeroHype:

Electro is the main villain. Rhino sort of makes a teasing appearance in the film in a very calculated and careful way, but the main villain in this movie is Electro and you get a real sense of the power and magnitude of that villain. Electro to me was somebody I was always curious about, because he's inherently cinematic, or has that potential, not in the comics necessarily but some of the ones I really love, he has that quality.

  Then, he also added:

There is something terrifying and God-like about Electro. He is elemental in the way that Poseidon or Zeus is – you feel a sense of bigness about him. He's somebody who just his touch has the power of a thousand third rails and will obliterate anybody near him. I think it's incredibly exciting to play with that kind of power. Spider-Man's greatest weapon is that web and when he shoots a web at Electro, there's a current and webs are conductive and that's going to pose some real issues for Spider-Man so I thought that was a really fun villain to unleash on New York and on Spider-Man.
