DreamWorks Pictures has released the first official trailer for Alex Kurtzman's drama
People Like Us, starring
Chris Pine,
Olivia Wilde,
Elizabeth Banks,
Jon Favreau and
Michelle Pfeiffer.
Originally titled
Welcome to People, the film follows a struggling salesman (Pine) who learns his father has passed away, revealing a family secret: he has a sister (Banks) he never knew about. Dealing with his father's inheritance and wanting to start a relationship with his newfound sister, the trailer shows a fairly predictable story that hits all of the right dramatic notes.
People Like Us is written by Kurtzman, Jody Lambert and
Roberto Orci. Additional cast include
Mark Duplass, Michael Hall D'Addario, and
Philip Baker Hall.
Kurtzman's feature directorial debut film is scheduled to light up theaters June 29th, 2012.
