They already say
Ain't Them Bodies Saints is a powerful crime drama that explores honor and sacrifice. Doesn't sound bad at all, so let's take another (behind-the-scenes) look at
David Lowery‘s story of love and motherhood, which (in case you forgot) opens today! Head inside to hear what director and his leading duo –
Rooney Mara and
Casey Affleck have to say about the whole thing…

We already shared the official
trailer and some
pics from the movie, so I'm sure you all know that
Ain't Them Bodies Saints is a tale of an outlaw, played by Affleck, who escapes from prison and sets out across the Texas hills to reunite with his wife (Mara) and the daughter he has never met.

The story is set against the backdrop of 1970's Texas Hill Country, and with this film (according to the official description) director Lowery paints
a poetic picture, evoking the mythology of westerns and saturating the dramatic space with an aching sense of loss.

Also starring
Ben Foster,
Keith Carradine,
Nate Parker,
Rami Malek,
Kennadie Smith and
Jacklynn Smith,
Ain't Them Bodies Saints opens on August 16th, 2013.
Let us also mention that the movie debuted at this year's
Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Cinematography Award in the U.S. Dramatic Category and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize.
So, yes, definitely looks promising.
