M.Night Shyamalan‘s upcoming sci-fi thriller
After Earth opens this month, so I guess now is the perfect moment for all of us to check out the latest international trailer for the whole thing. I must say that I'm not some huge sci-fi fan, but those
wild-animal-moments (almost like a sci-fi Discovery channel or whatever) definitely look promising.
M.Night Shyamalan directed the movie from a script written by
Gary Whitta, and as you already know, the film stars real-life father and son
Will and
Jaden Smith as Cypher and Kitai Raige.

You also know the plot: a crash landing leaves them stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity's escape. The rest of the story goes like this:
With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.
Isabelle Fuhrman,
Zoe Kravitz and
Gabriel Caste also star in
After Earth, which is set to hit theaters on May 31st, 2013.
