Abbie Cornish is set to re-team with her
Seven Psychopaths co-star
Colin Farrell in
Afonso Poyart-directed
Solace, also starring
Anthony Hopkins and
Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
The upcoming thriller was actually originally a sequel to
David Fincher's
Se7en that has been kicking around for a decade and New Line Cinema decided to just keep
Ted Griffin‘s original
Solace script and turn it into a film.
Story follows an FBI agent (Farrell) who links up with a former doctor (Hopkins) with psychic abilities to hunt down a serial killer. It is unknown what role Cornish would play, but let's hope it actually gives her something substantial to do unlike her appearance in Seven Psychopaths.
Dean Morgan will play a vet FBI agent heading the investigation of a series of grisly murders who recruits Hopkins' character to help catch the killer.
The Brazilian director (2 Rabbits) will get behind the camera with filming set to start in May.
Cornish who played Sweet Pea in Zack Snyder's
Sucker Punch has moved step-by-step into leading-lady status with her roles in MGM's Robocop forthcoming remake and Ridley Scott's Discovery Channel miniseries ‘Klondike.'
