It's been confirmed that 20th Century Fox's fifth new
Die Hard movie,
A Good Day to Die Hard directed by
John Moore, will be heading to theaters with an R-rating.
Bruce Willis (McClane), known for his catchphrase, ‘Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker' (which only has context in the first Die Hard movie, but he says it in all of them) earlier expressed his disappointment about the PG-13 rating for the last one:
I really wanted this one to live up to the promise of the first one, which I always thought was the only really good one.
Now he gets to enjoy the fruits of his labor. The new film should look a lot more like the originals if the R rating is any indication. McClane and son (
Jai Courtney) are about to shed as much blood as possible along the way.
On the other side, also starring
Mary Elizabeth Winstead has confessed she does not see much action in
Die Hard 5, which opens February 14th, 2013.

Here's the official synopsis:
Iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, for the first time, finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack–unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes
And here's the latest trailer for the latest Moscow-set action thriller.
