New character posters for Tim Burton‘s Frankenweenie have gone online today.
In the film, young Victor conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life, only to face unintended, sometimes monstrous, consequences.
The animated film will feature the voices of Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Conchata Ferrell and Robert Capron.
The film is a stop-motion adaptation of a live-action short Burton produced with Disney in the early eighties. The original film helped to launch Burton's career. Burton helmed the production, based on a script by John August.
Frankenweenie is scheduled to light up 3D/2D theaters October 5th, 2012.
