As you already know, this crime thriller comes from director
David Weaver, and stars
Samuel L. Jackson as a former grifter who gets released from prison after a 20-year sentence, and just wants to live as a law-abiding citizen.
You know the rest of the story – it's definitely not going to be an easy life after all…
And thanks to these new clips, we have a chance to see why Foley's life soon becomes a nightmare. After he meets an elusive young woman named Iris, played by
Ruth Negga, the possibility of a new start looks real.
But his past becomes his enemy. As well as Ethan, played by
Luke Kirby, the son of his former partner, who has an ingenious plan and of course – wants Foley in.
The harder Foley tries to escape his past, the tighter he is ensnared in Ethan's web of secrets, until it becomes all too clear to Foley that some wrongs can never be made right.
The rest of The Samaritan cast includes
Tom Wilkinson, Alan C. Peterson, Gil Bellows and
Rob Archer.
