When Jason Sinai, one of the last Vietnam-era fugitives still wanted on murder charges for a robbery gone wrong in 1974, encounters a young newspaper reporter in search of a story, he must abandon years of safe underground life for the dangerous life of the road — traveling across American and deep into his past. Set against the rise and fall of the radical anti-war group the Weather Underground, “The Company You Keep” is a sweeping American saga about sacrifice, the ecstatic righteousness of youth, and the tension between political ideals and family loyalties. It is a vidid re-creation of lives lived underground — of battle-scarred veterans, ideologues, profiteers, criminals and bystanders.
The Company You Keep hasn't got a U.S. release schedule, but it is set to be premiered at
Toronto International Film Festival which will run from September 6th to 16th, 2012.

Just disappointed:Sony Pictures Classics sent out a Trailer where the lead female, crucial key role of this film, played -exceptionally- by Iconic, Julie Christie, someone a little above everyone else, not only here, but, anywhere else, is not even showed once, in this trailer!
This is not just confusing, but, also such poor recognition of real talent and greater personalities, a disrespectful attempt toward an everlasting, adored icon like Julie Christie!
She’s always infused a real image of a lady, and, without even trying ever, a true class act for over 4 decades, that shouldn’t be “obscured” in this tragic era of Hilton’s and Kardashian’s, but, truly highlighted and exposed, as an example of greatness: has lived her life fully, used fame to help deserving political, environmental, human rights causes, shining always of a radiant beauty, a natural enigmatic muse of the Seventh Art, able to still bringing us to the movies for a more noble experience,” the most poetic of all actresses”! While still excited about this film, since i know for a fact Christie is a major player, the key character of everyone’s search in this awesome plot, I am thrilled to see these first exceptional images from what seems a truly powerful, possibly Oscar worthy picture, still deeply regret this Trailer, who does not showcase Christie, for a second: a true shame for Hollywood, showing very clearly, its lack of respect for true integrity, incredible past and filmography, a real outstanding talent and beauty.
