Ridley Scott‘s longtime production designer,
Arthur Max has clearly worked extremely hard to make the differences between the spaceship in
Prometheus and the one in Alien Prometheus.
From the looks of things, nominated for the Academy Award for Best Art Direction twice, Max has succeeded in spectacular style.
Star-chariot Prometheus apparently has its own basketball court. Now I understand what
Charlize Theron and
Michael Fassbender mean when they say that the interior of the Prometheus looks to be an utterly immersive environment, and just about as far removed from the scruffy old Nostromo as you could wish for.
Alien semi-prequel Prometheus also stars
Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba and
Logan Marshall-Green in the June 8th, 2012 release.
