The Dead 2: India, the highly anticipated follow-up to the award-winning
Ford Brothers' critically acclaimed zombie road movie
The Dead (2010) is set to premiere as the opening film at Film 4 FrightFest in London on August 22nd, 2013.
As part of promotional campaign in advance of the film's release, we'll be giving away two tickets to the FrightFest premiere.
The winner will also get to attend the premiere's after-party; where they'll be introduced to
The Dead 2‘s directors, Howard and John Ford, as well as the film's star
Joseph Millson.
To enter the contest, you simply need to tell us what you would do in order to #StayAlive during the zombie apocalypse. You can submit your ideas in the comments field below and on any social media site (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Vine, etc), using #StayAlive.
(Make sure you put your email in the email field. We will not share your email, but we need a way to contact you in the event that you win)
Alongside the grand prize, we're also offering ongoing smaller prizes, including signed copies of The Dead 2 director Howard Ford's book ‘
Surviving the Dead'. Howard's book is a harrowing and at times hilarious blow-by-blow account of the trials and tribulations involved in the production of
the Ford Brothers previous feature,The Dead, which was filmed in Africa.
We will also be offering select, one-of-a-kind props from
The Dead and
The Dead 2 as prizes. These actual props were used on-set in Africa and India and can be seen in both films. Beyond being just mere memorabilia, these props are genuine artifacts of zombie film history and will be coveted by fans of the zombie film genre.
FrightFest will run Aug 22-26 at the Empire Cinema in London's Leicester Square.
Good Luck!

If I were trapped in a zombie apocalypse, I would jump straight in a car and drive to the nearest skyscraper I could find. I’d work my way up to the roof and then hide out there with supplies, shelter and protection. I’d hope that the zombies would not be able to work their way all the way to the roof, especially if it was barricaded but if they did somehow, then i’d hopefully be able to easily fight them off by using weapons or by getting them to fall off the roof. If all hope was lost, i’d then be able to end it all quickly by jumping off myself. A little bit morbid, but hey ho! #StayAlive

Find Joseph Millson and stick with him!
I would go get a boat :) never see any zombies at sea :P
I would survive by thinking vertically. Zombies move horizontally, so I would survive by moving vertically, like a squirrel climbing a tree or an ant walking up a wall.
I would travel to a low-population area where there is flowing water (i.e. a river)and forestry (tall trees).
I would build tree houses in which to sleep (remember that old Disney movie ‘Swiss Family Robinson?’). This kind of woodland would be ideal for gardening. Seeds for farming would be easy to come by, as all the grocery stores would be abandoned and looted for food, but certainly there would be plenty of rotting produce left behind, sitting on the shelves, slowly decomposing. Even if the fruits and vegetables are rotten, their seeds should still be fertile.
With the flowing water to drink, animals to hunt, and vegetables to harvest, I believe that I could survive up in the trees.
Certainly, I would attempt to fortify the territory over time, a few square-acres or so, creating deterrents, or walls–chopped-down trees, rubble, etc–to keep the zombies out, with the river serving as one wall. Also, further tree houses would be built, outposts and whatnot, securing a safe haven in the event of being attacked anywhere within the compound. Each outpost would be stocked with a bottle of water, a can of food, and a long spear to stab zombies in the head from up in the tree, should one become trapped.
Being in America, in Illinois, along the Mississippi River would be the location I would go to. Where is the nearest river to you?
#StayAlive i’d hide behind simon pegg
I wonder where the Dead will rise next: China, Japan, Korea, Thailand who agrees?
