Few days ago we reported that Michel Hazanavicius' upcoming movie titled The Artist will compete for Palme D'Or at this year's Cannes Film Festival (which, by the way starts today!), and now we're here to update this news by presenting you some fresh photos, poster and trailer for this project! Trust me, this is worth your attention, these photos are gorgeous and the trailer as well.
The movie is a romantic comedy filmed in black-and-white. It will take us back to Hollywood, 1927, where the dialogue is on title cards and only music can be heard.

Here's a little description:
“Georges Valentin is a silent movie star who seems blessed : he is handsome, athletic and an excellent dancer. The arrival of the talkies causes Georges to fall into oblivion, alcohol and poverty. As for the young extra Peppy Miller, her star shoots to the heavens…”

As we mentioned before, the movie stars Jean Dujardin as Valentin and Bérénice Bejo as Miller, while the rest of the cast includes John Goodman, James Cromwell, Missi Pyle and Penelope Ann Miller.

And, while we're still here, let us mention that The Weinstein Company is near a deal to acquire U.S. and multiple international territories on The Artist.
According to Deadline, the deal is low-seven-figure minimum guarantee, and the plan is to release the film later this year during the Oscar race.
At the end, let's just say that The Artist premieres in competition this Sunday.

Wonderful! Looks good, hope it receives only good. Thank you!
